At GoRankVantage, we take your privacy and the security of your website search performance data seriously. This Privacy Policy details how we access, store, process, and protect your information when using our Google Search Console integrations.

1. Information We Access & Store

GoRankVantage connects directly to the official Google Search Console API. During connection, we request explicit, read-only permissions via the following OAuth 2.0 scope:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly — Read-only access to view search query performance metrics, URL indexation statuses, and verified site property lists.

Information We Store in Our Systems:

  • Google Search Console Connection Status: We store a record of whether your Google Search Console account is currently connected and active.
  • Connected Sites Count & Property Details: We store the total number of connected website properties as well as the list of verified site domains/URLs associated with your account to power your property selector and account dashboards.
  • Basic Account Information: Primary email address and user profile identifiers used strictly for account authentication and service communications.
  • Last Login Timestamp: We record the date and time of each successful login to your GoRankVantage account. This information is used to detect unauthorized access, support account security investigations, and provide administrators with account activity visibility.
  • Last Active Timestamp: We record the most recent date and time at which your account performed an action within the platform (such as running an analysis, checking rankings, or interacting with any tool). This is used to monitor platform engagement, identify inactive accounts, and support security auditing. Activity timestamps are updated at most once every five minutes to minimise unnecessary data writes.

Real-Time Search Performance Data (Not Stored):

  • GSC Performance Metrics: Clicks, impressions, average rankings, position deltas, and click-through rates (CTR) are retrieved live on-demand during active user sessions. We do not store, copy, or keep permanent database logs of your raw search query logs or site performance metrics on our servers.
  • URL Indexation Statuses: Live Google indexation inspection results retrieved temporarily to render user-requested audit tables.

2. Purpose of Data Collection & Transparency

We collect, store, and process your Google Search Console integration information solely for the following explicit functionality:

  • To verify and maintain whether your Google Search Console account is connected, ensuring a seamless user experience across sessions.
  • To display and manage the number of connected website properties and enable smooth switching between your verified domains.
  • To display real-time search performance dashboards, query position distributions, and CTR anomaly alerts.
  • To compute rule-based opportunity scores (0–100) for striking-distance keywords (positions 10 to 20).
  • To check live Google indexation statuses for requested site URLs.
  • To generate contextual internal link suggestions based on topical keyword overlap.
  • To record your last login and last active timestamps for the purposes of account security monitoring, detection of unauthorised access, and internal platform analytics. These timestamps are never shared with third parties and are not used for advertising.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy & Limited Use Compliance

GoRankVantage's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • No Data Reselling or Sharing: We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer your Google Search Console data or connection metadata to any third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
  • No AI Model Training: Your Google Search Console metrics, search query logs, and connected properties are never used to train machine learning or artificial intelligence models.
  • Strict Purpose Limitation: User data and integration status are accessed and stored exclusively to provide and improve user-facing features directly requested by the user within the GoRankVantage application interface.

4. Data Retention, Protection & Revocation

Authentication session tokens and integration metadata (such as your GSC connection status and the number of connected site properties) are stored with industry-standard encryption and security protocols. This metadata is retained as long as your account remains active and connected to GoRankVantage.

You retain 100% control over your Google Search Console data. You can disconnect GoRankVantage at any time or revoke OAuth access immediately through your Google Account Permissions Settings. Upon disconnecting or deleting your account, connection flags and associated site lists are cleared or disassociated from your profile.
